Owner – Installation & Maintenance Manager

Michael Spillman

Michael graduated from Texas A&M University in 2003 and has been in the playground world ever since.  He learned the industry with one of the most successful installation groups in Texas, starting as a grunt worker on a crew.  It was not long before he took over a crew of his own, and over the years he moved up through the office to be a project manager.  He has overseen installations across all corners of Texas, and not a few outside the state as well.

Through the years, Michael noticed a lot of good playground equipment age prematurely due to lack of attention.  He made the decision to utilize his knowledge of playgrounds to begin an inspection and maintenance company, and thus, Safe & Sound Playground Service was born.

Michael’s experiences with playground projects of all shapes and sizes have taught him to be adaptable and perceptive.  He also knows that even the simplest installation carries a lesson, and he is always looking for ways to help his service and installation teams improve their craft.
